Hi folks - just wanted to make sure you checked out our live coverage of today's council meeting. Spec intern Joey Coleman is providing minute-to-minute coverage and handling all of your tweets and comments. You can reach the live coverage via our home page.
I'm one of a whole team of Spec reporters here today covering this meeting, so be sure to check out tomorrow's paper for an in-depth look at what's going down today.
And one more thing - the crazy pace of developments on this Pan Am story has meant that I haven't had as much time to dedicate to Hall Marks in the past week or so. I know there have been plenty of you commenting on our other blogs - Have Your Say and the Scratching Post - and via email. I appreciate your patience with my lack of blogging lately and encourage you to keep checking back in with me here at Hall Marks.
I hope you've all managed to hold onto your hats throughout the twists and turns of the stadium debate!
i think the city and the cats should have sat down and agreed to disagree on the west harbour and east mountain sites, and choose an alternate site.I don't think its too late to do so.

Thanks for making video feed available so WE could see our "Great Decision Makers" in Action in living color!Well in the choice between the "Toxic Wasteland and the "Money Pit" we get the latter which is to the TAXPAYERS the choice of "Being Hanged or Being Shot"! The 3 who voted against this colossal waste of money without a "Tenant" are the only ones to come out of this with any credibility.Sam Merrula whose idea of revamping "Ivor Wynn" as it was a cheaper option was "Snookered" by the Spendthrifts who Salivate like "Shopaholics" spending OUR
Dollars!Chad Collins seemed to be able to once again "Mesmerize" the others, with his "Facetious" argument over their being no need to consider the "Confederation Park Area" favored since "Square One" by the Tiger Cats as "HE" did not think it at all warranted consideration as it did not meet "HIS" vision!
Well it certainly meets all the "Criteria" that was requested by all other involved
"Stakeholders" but "Hey" if it does not meet the majority of our "Lobotomized" Council then they are prepared run the S.S. Hamilton "On The Rocks"- Regardless of the Consequences to the "Passengers".

All though i moved from East Flamboro in 87,just after regional goverment started, nothing has changed when it comes to Hamilton. There are so many ways to renew the area, but the politions still seem to be stuck in the stage of build and people will come.Sports teams have cost Hamilton billions of dollars and the poor taxpayers are stuck paying for the white elephants that nobody uses, but when are they going to learn Hamilton is a pawn of the sports world. The sooner they stand up and look for other ways to renew Hamilton, the sooner maybe the taxpayers can enjoy the city.

To follow up now the 11th hour decision has been made in favour of the west harbour site.I would like to say to The City Of Hamilton and Mr Bob Young that maybe they can or would sit down together and patch up differences from this vote and have the tiger cats stay in Hamilton. We love the cats and have enjoyed the football games.I always believe there's a way to work things out for the best for everyone involved that would not take away.
