Our mayor-elect as you've never seen him before

We're working on putting together a package on Bob Bratina, our new mayor-elect, for Saturday's paper. One of our photographers was combing through our archives and found some great pictures of our soon-to-be-mayor. With Bratina's permission,I've posted a few of them here.

These photos are promotional shots for Bratina's radio show from 1969. I asked him if he remembered the day they were taken, and he said no -- "but I remember the suit," he added.

We seemed to have lost a reporter and gained an "entertainment tonight" host.
How about telling us the utility costs for the new energy efficient cityhall, how much is Countrytime donuts costing us now that its basically a staff coffee shop, whats the furniture budget this year, we know the people defending the costs at Lister Block are claiming a huge success but I'm hearing from people working there its a lie and we're getting fleeced bigtime, we hired Michael Fenn at some ridiculous cost and then ignored him..what was the final payout to this man, we've barely had a winter in 5 yrs..whats the snow budget look like this yr, we're supposed to be in a hiring freeze, we know that was a lie, whos been hired we don't know about, the final cost is in for wooing Betman for an NHL team..what was it and where did that money come from, etc etc etc....helloooo..anybody home.

..and one more for the road..we know politicians beat their chest about limiting our garbage, but what exactly is cityhall doing to curb the out of control junkmail thats dropped off at our houses every single day????????

Well the picture's are cool.I like Bob Bratina,met him once in my taxi,he seemed really nice,a real people person,good to talk with.I feel he will be a cool Mayor.
